1/2 cup Dinesh Flour Mills Whole Wheat Daliya
1 cup water
1/2 cup milk (optional, for a creamier texture)
1/4 cup chopped vegetables (carrot, peas, beans, capsicum)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small tomato, chopped
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon salt (as per taste)
1 teaspoon ghee
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Roast the Daliya – In a pan, dry roast Dinesh Flour Mills Whole Wheat Daliya on low flame until it turns golden brown and aromatic.
Temper the spices – Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
Sauté the vegetables – Add chopped onions and sauté until golden, followed by tomatoes and other vegetables. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add spices – Mix turmeric powder and salt. Stir well.
Cook the Daliya – Add roasted daliya to the cooker, pour water (and milk if using), and mix everything well.
Pressure cook – Cover the lid and cook for 2-3 whistles on medium flame.
Garnish & serve – Open the lid, mix well, and garnish with fresh coriander. Serve hot!
