Healthy Daliya Recipe using Dinesh Flour Mills Whole Wheat Daliya

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Dinesh Flour Mills Whole Wheat Daliya

  • 1 cup water

  • 1/2 cup milk (optional, for a creamier texture)

  • 1/4 cup chopped vegetables (carrot, peas, beans, capsicum)

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 small tomato, chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (as per taste)

  • 1 teaspoon ghee

  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Roast the Daliya – In a pan, dry roast Dinesh Flour Mills Whole Wheat Daliya on low flame until it turns golden brown and aromatic.

  2. Temper the spices – Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.

  3. Sauté the vegetables – Add chopped onions and sauté until golden, followed by tomatoes and other vegetables. Cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Add spices – Mix turmeric powder and salt. Stir well.

  5. Cook the Daliya – Add roasted daliya to the cooker, pour water (and milk if using), and mix everything well.

  6. Pressure cook – Cover the lid and cook for 2-3 whistles on medium flame.

  7. Garnish & serve – Open the lid, mix well, and garnish with fresh coriander. Serve hot!
