Happy Teachers Day

Teachers play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children that go on to becoming the future of a country. In short, we can say that teachers help in the development of the nation. This makes it important to set aside a dedicated day when the teachers are given the recognition they deserve.

Teachers Day is a day earmarked to honour the contribution of teachers in our lives.

Duties undertaken by teachers in the upbringing of their students are immense and thus being recognized on a day dedicated solely to them is a step towards paying respect to their profession and the role they play in society.

While internationally, the day is celebrated on October 5 every year, in India we celebrate it on September 5 as this day also marks the birthday of the former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who contributed greatly to the bigger cause of the society. He was known as a man of many great qualities and attributes.

On this day, a little note or gesture thanking the teacher can go a long way. Being surrounded by so much around us, we have forgotten to take a moment for expressing gratitude to the people who leave an impact on our lives. We can take this opportunity as a day to thank our teachers and express our love and care for them. Happy teachers day to one and all.
